Questions & Answers for Trolling Motors

Question
How are 24 volt Trolling Motors set up?
I currently run a 12v Trolling motor and would like to convert to a 24v system.

How is that accomplished and will it affect any of my other electronics on my boat? (ie the Fishfinder, light system, my primary motor - 40 hp Merc)

Thanks for any help or references to articles.

Hay smbasschaser, arkansasstumpjumper here,if you have a newer boat it's probably pre wired for 24v. If so check your owners manual for detals on how to set up batteries,if not ask your dealer.I can tell you I run a36v. t.m.on my big boat and all the 12v.accs.work fine.
