Yes it is. We washed it first before ever wearing it and it did NOT shrink. It is soft and comfortable.

I believe it was 80 % cotton. It ran a little big. I had to exchange the extra large for a large for my son. He is about 6 foot tall but thin.

Ykk is a zipper is a zipper. However- YKK is strong and durable, can take a bit of punishment. Likely on your jeans.

If you want it windproof, wear it under a nylon jacket. If will block some wind though.

I have the pullover hooded sweatshirt (same material). It is not completely wind proof, but it does slightly block the wind. In 30+ MPH wind, I felt the wind and would recommend a windbreaker for these conditions. But for lighter breezes, this should be fine provided that you have the proper layering for the temperature.
