How Comfortable & Thick Are These Socks
This may sound unusual, but I recently had surgery on my ankle. Currently, I'm in a cam boot to stabilize the ankle post surgery. I'm looking for a calf length sock that is warm, yet has some thickness, but is comfortable to wear on the leg. Cam boots are not the most comfortable things as they use bracing to stabilize the leg, so I'm trying to prevent friction against the skin on the incision area. Would this sock be thick enough to help prevent rubbing or painful friction when used with a regular type boot that's above the ankle in height or is this a lighter density sock?

on Under Armour ColdGear Hitch Heavy Cushion Socks for Men
Hi, the Under Armour Coldgear Hitch Heavy Cushion Boot Socks UA4661 are the ultimate boot socks with a heavy, high volume cushioning meant for space compensation and joint protection. Your feet will perform at their best with the sustained arch reinforcement that protects your foot arch from strain, keeps the sock snug to prevent rubbing and irritation and increases blood circulation throughout the foot. They are well cushioned and the use of wool makes these very soft, warm, and extremely comfortable.
However, for wearing socks in a cam boot I would also recommend a Diabetes sock. They help with the circulation.

I think the Readhead Merino Wool Diabetic Hiking sock would work great for you. Warm and not too tight around the ankle.
I first bought the regular wool hiking sock but it was too tight around the ankle and caused swelling.
