Question

Could you attach it to a normal GPS?

I have a GPS with maps and everything and just wandering if you could attach it to the GPS instead of buying a seperate one?

No, the system does not allow for a separate GPS.

I would guess no.
Because you GPS need the receiver part of the ASTRO220.

The DC40 is sending the GPS position with the HF sender to the receiver in the ASTRO220. Within this, the location is matched to the position ot the handheld item.
