It can be submerged. I wade the New River in Va and it can be quite tough to walk at times. So wiping out is common, it keeps my things dry as a martini. As for colors, to my knowledge it only comes in the yellow.

They can be completely submerged, I wouldn't make a habit of it. But if they fall out and are recovered in a relatively short time, the contents should be fine. The heavy-duty ones are only blue, lighter-duty bags are orange-yellow.

I have the 10 litre and the 55 litre the 10 leaders really only good for a small amount of gear such as cell phone a dry box things like that. The 55 litre will carry some clothing and gear and is your better option if you want to pack a lot of extra things

The size bag would depend on what items you would be taking on the kayak trip. If you just have a small amount of clothing you would not need the larger bags. The measurements are listed so you can determine the amount of space they will need in the kayak as well.

This will float if you trap air in it when you roll it up. My gear stayed dry however I always have extra cautious and pack my cell phone and other items in another dry hard case as well as the dry bag not because of the dry bag has ever leaked but because I'm just extra cautious

They have a Roll-top design that seals contents from moisture. They are made for using in a Kayak and if dropped in the water made to keep the water out. You should have no problem wiht leaking due to rain.

For the gear you're describing I would recommend 55 liter size I have a 55 litre and a 10 litre and the 55 is big enough to handle the gear you're describing, the 10 litre will not do it. I recently use mine for a sojourn where I packed rain gear extra clothing a dry box my cell phone and some additional other items in my 55 liter size and there was some room for more gear but I wouldn't try anything smaller
