This low profile reel is designed for freshwater applications. The light reel helps reduce wrist fatigue when using the rod to make many casts or when jigging a bait.

as for most baitcaster's 120yds if you use 12lb test, you can use smaller or larger line, with this reel, i use 8/10 and use a L or ML rod.... works great for casting the light weight tackle in my boat..

12lb test will get you about 120yds..
10lb test will get you about 135yds...
14lb test will get you about 100yds

using this for a light combo, i use 8lb test on a light rod and have around 150yds on the spool... this will cast a mile even with super light lures

all these depends on the brand of line and how full you get your spool....
i use a meter when i spool my line so i have a good idea that these numbers are close to normal +/-
