The inner liner is a synthetic fur that is very soft and comfortable on the skin. the pockets do not have zippers there are snaps on them.

This jacket is a quality, very thick, very soft fleece. It has, hand warmer type, zippered pockets outside and good sized inside non-zippered pockets. Overall I am very happy with mine.
