How many mm's of neoprene would be equal to 1000 grams of thinsulate?
When it comes to shopping for a new pair of boots, how would I know if 3.5 mm of neoprene will be as warm as the 1000 gram thinsulate boots I own now. In other words, how many grams of thinsulate would a 3.5mm neoprene be equal to?

I really cant answer that. But I can tell you these boots are not as warm as boots with 1000 grams of Thinsulate.

This boots has 3.5mm of neoprene.
There is no comparison. I have a dozen pair of boots from 1200 grams down to uninsulated which has neoprene inside. If you need warmth go with the 1000 grams of thinsulate.
its the same just their way of changing things up a little
