can this be cast and what type of reel is it for

i also want to know how many eyes and if it could handle a 2-3lb bass

I dont remember how many eyes are on the rod but it can for sure handle a bass, i caught a 4lb. chanel cat while crappie fishing and it did awsome

You can use all types of reels on this rod, just depends on the technique you're using. Baitcasting reels would be good for dipping or trolling, spinning reel for casting. I've caught several big sheepshead and smallmouth with this rod and it handles nicely. Just takes some practice with the length of the rod, kind of awkward at first but you'll get used to it. Plenty of eyes, I would say about 10-13 eyes on my 10' rod. You won't be dissapointed.

Yes you could cast it but it's designed more for vertical jigging, I have a Wally Marshall spinning reel on mine( I believe the # is W-750) The rod has a lot of eyes and I believe they list the # on the web site when you look at the different lengths. Yes it will handle a Bass that size with no problem I caught a 4lb one on it yesterday but I can't horse them because I only have 4' test on mine.
