For coyotes #1.75-#3 is recommended. Best for inexperienced would be the #3

I use Duke #2's and MB 550RC's you can go down to 1-3/4's and still be good. Just make sure your anchors are good coyotes will fight really hard.

No. This is not made for species with hooves, but rather for species with paws.

No. This is a foot hold trap designed to grab a paw not a hoof. You would use this on coyote, fox, bobcat, or even coons.
