you simply dont need an expensive scope for a 30-30 seeing as they are really not meant for long distance shots, if your looking for superb quality go with a nikon prostaff, its price is 159.99 but if you ask me a $50 3-9x40 bushnell off the rack scope will do just fine for a 30-30 because you really shouldnt be shooting more that 150 yards with that calliber

Depends on your primary hunting spot. The BDC is designed to assist hunters that often take shots at 200, 300, 400 yards, etc. If your favored spot does not present many long-range shooting opportunities, the BDC would not give you any advantage very often. As you said, the Dusk and Dawn coating will always give you a few more minutes of hunting in any hunting location. You will just have to analyze your favorite spot or spots and decide which of these two will serve you better and most often.

I would buy the 50mm objective as it permits more light. When hunting early in the morning or late in the afternoon, the extra light will help.
I also advise to switch to the Nikon Prostaff or Leupold as the optics are so much better.

No. It is very good in low light when it is not on high magnification but dark as night after the sun disappears.

Depending on your Rifle you might be able to use the Weaver style mount like item # 38-681-223-00 for this 1" tube scope. This is a standard for most Rifles and the high mount will leave room for upgrades later. You can also use the Integrated rail and ring set for your gun, item # 38-888-758-00 for the Remington 700.

Yes, this scope will fit a model 700 provided you purchase the right height of scope rings to give the objective end of your scope enough clearance to not hit the barrel. In most cases this would take a "high" style ring.
