The Bionic Blade’s 50-million modulus, revolutionary, 4-layer blank is built with our new ArmorCore Technology—a stronger-than-steel aramid fiber core, wrapped with strong, flexible fiberglass, and finished with layers of IM8 and IM7 graphite to make this one of the most powerful, lightweight rods you'll ever fish with. A multi-purpose hook keeper allows you to snug in a dropshot weight, rigged worm, spinnerbait, or crankbait. No more loose hardware! Pacific Bay Hialoy guide sets are perfectly spaced for virtually friction-free line flow and maximum casting performance and sensitivity. This rod's premium contoured cork handle with full cork butt offers extreme comfort, fatigue resistance and leverage. Once you go Bionic, you'll never go back.

The Pflueger President is my favorite. It's inexpensive, very smooth action, and in my experience of good quality and works on anything from rockies to muskie. I've only used the cheaper Abu Garcia's, but I really like them too.

We offer this rod with the 1865786
Team Daiwa® Legalis™ Spinning Reels
as a combo, so this reel or one similar would be just fine.
