According to CVA= NO. You need to purchase the Optima Pro or now the APEX for that type of functionality.

Yes sir!! Checked with the company for my 13 yr old granddaughter.Turned out I didn't need one-tamed down the load to 2 triple 7 pellets and she got used to the 50cal rifle.
They also have several shotgun barrels that will bolt up nicely to the original 50cal optima.Quite a user friendly rifle with many applications.

Sorry Not allowed in your State! I believe if you look it up you can use the old Traditions type Muzzle loader. Like the Hawkins. Ball and Cap. Open sights. I have shot some nice Bucks with one and they are fun to hunt with. Makes you feel like Danial Boone! LOL

You would need to discuss whether this gun is affected by that law or any other local regulations with your local authorities. Your local conservation agent or wildlife authority may be a good place to start.

The thumbhole is made for both right- and left-handed shooters. The trigger can be setup depending on which way you shoot.

yes it is an inline and it loads like any other muzzleloader except it breaks open at the breech (like a single shot shotgun ) it make the 209 primer much easier to load. It also makes cleaning the gun much easier beccause you don't have to take the whole gun apart to clean it like other inlines

I'm new to the modern break action 209 Muzzleloader. Can you give me step-by-step instructions on how to load it and clean it?

Loading is easy. Drop 2 or 3 50 gr. 777 pellets down the barrel. Set the bullet/sabot in the end of the barrel, use bullet starter to start bullet, then the ramrod to push it all the way down onto the powder. Make sure it seats firmly. When you get to your hunting area, place a 209 primer in place, engage safety.
