I would go with a shorter model, depending on casting distance requirements. I good sized bream will feel like a whale on these rods - very exciting action.

I love the 6'6", but also use a 7'. Great all around rod. I use for trout, crappie, and smallies.

I have the answer to this question. You need to get a roll of electrical tape and put a couple of wraps around the outside edges of the rings, works well as I have used this method for many years. Give it a shot and you will be happy with it !

I have never had a problem with mine. Try cleaning the threads - if there is any oil in there, it may negate the friction of the second ring.

It should fit on there but I would go with a smaller reel if I were you. or if you really want to use that reel, get a 6' 0" lite or medium-lite rod.
