How are you suspost to attach your reel to the rod with handle D ?

You attach it with plastic electrical tape. Buy the beige color made by 3-M at the home stores. Position the reel where you want it for good balance and wrap the tape under enough stretch to be about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way to the breaking point. Wrap smoothly, overlapping about half the width of the tape and go back and forth for about three layers thick. Go beyond the reel foot about 2".

medium or medium heavy / 6'8 or 7'2?
I'm debating whether to purchase the following:

6'8 - medium or medium heavy
7'2 - medium

1) aside from line rating, what other differences are there between the two rod powers?

2) aside from casting further with the longer rod, what other differences are there between a shorter or longer rod?

3) Can one snap more easily than the other?
