Thanks for your answer but I meant how do you hook the fish on the scale to weigh it. There is no visable hook or grip that you would put the fish on.

Another easy way to weigh a fish with out hooking it in the gills with the hook is to put the fish in a bag and hang the handle of the bag on the hook

9V battery. Remeber to disconnect the battery after using the scale or the battery will be dead in 1-2 weeks.
