Questions & Answers for Moeller® Marine Products Topside Fuel Tanks - Medium
Question
Will this fit my 1955 Johnson 10 Seahorse QD-16 outboard
Since it is a duel line we are not sure if this would work. The old duel line tank that came with the motor is rusted inside and out.

I would check with some of the vintage outboard motor groups around the country. You can locate them online just by indicating vintage outboard motors on your search engine.

All new marine gas tanks require you to add the proper fitting on the tank for your type of fuel line / motor. So you need to purchase the fitting you need. You may be able to remove the fitting from your existing tank. For my Mercury motors, the fitting looks just like the one on the motor end of the fuel line - but it has a screw-thread to connect it to the tank rather than a line nipple. All the tank threading is indentical, so with the proper fitting, you can attach to any fuel tank.

For johnson/Evinrude you'll need a fuel line - 38-588-896-00 and male connector to go on the tank - 38-588-912-00. Choose the tank size for the type of boat and range you want.
