not much,i dont use mine unless im crawling a plastic across a big flat rock in the river or wiglin a toad in the pads, adds minimal action to the baits but have caught quite a few smallies off the flat rocks in shallows when the bait drops off, cool thing once you get use to it but wont replace your own wrist.

Question
what is the "worm gear" and what do you mean by "the worm gear broke"

Actually they are not... the worm gear in a baitcaster refers to the shaft found in the front of the reel face... it is the shaft on which the line guide travels... it allows the levelwind (the action that respools your line evenly on retrieve) to work properly...

By saying it broke it most likely either popped out... binded up... the housing split..or in some cases the shaft even cracked or split... thought i doubt it as they actually use decent metal for the shaft composition in this reel...

By worm gear, he/she is most likely reffering to the twitchin' bar. It either like it broke off or jammed. Hope i could help.

Daiwa’s Twitchin’ Bar lets you quickly pick up slack with just one hand, so hooksets are solid. It can even give baits a subtle twitching action when finessing inactive fish to strike.

I tried one out, and I am going to buy one. I think that if you're going to do a lot of bottom fishing, this would be a lot better than the Cetina. And casting is quite good also. It surpasses all the other reels I own right now. Come to think of it, I may just buy two of them. Excellent reel, and the price is great.

Question
Twitchin Bar moves with movement of reel handle. Anyone know how to fix?
The plastic idle gear stripped in my reel. I replaced it and know the twitchin bar does not work. It moves back with the turn of the reel handle. When the twitchin bar reaches fully back the reel handle stops and wont turn any further. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix it.
