Customer Questions & Answers for
Bass Pro Shops® Crankin' Stick™ Casting Trigger Rods

Stacey King has designed one of the world's great crankin' rods, tested it hard, and proven its mettle through dozens of high-profile tournaments. And while we're committed to keeping his expert innovations, we'll sometimes tweak things to super-size the performance. So even though its unidirectional fiberglass/graphite, thin-wall blank has made the Crankin' Stick one of the lightest, most sensitive crankin' rods available, we went ahead and laid in quality IM-6 graphite throughout--for more consistent vibration transmission; this way you'll get a better feel for what your lure is doing at all times. As always, expect true actions with lots of power and just the right flex, with our "Fiberglass Feeling" tip keeping you in constant control. The contoured Power Hump™ premium cork handle fits your hand comfortably; the XPS® Soft Touch graphite reel seat is light and very strong. Every model has hard aluminum oxide guides and a Pro-Guard™ epoxy finish, for years of heavy-duty fun. Don't sell yourself short...if crankin' is your strategy of choice, Stacy's Crankin Stick is the rod for you! Aciton: ML = Medium Light M = Medium MH = Medium Heavy **=Retractable butt section

Questions & Answers for Bass Pro Shops® Crankin' Stick™ Casting Trigger Rods

I would say its personal preference first. I learned to fish with a medium heavy rod, so that's what I reach for first. Using lighter baits means a lighter action.

For crankbaits, I usually consider the size of the bait to figure out which rod I need. Since most deep divers are 3/4 oz or heavier, I use the medium heavy. It really does come down to preference. But, for the money, these rods are the best you can get. If you are in a position like, college student, then a rod that is cheap in price but high in quality is the best thing. Hope this helps.

Any Crank Bait i use that dives from 0ft to 6ft.The medium action is my choice.Anything that dives under 6ft Medium hvy is best i feel. You need that extra power to get a good hook set with a Crank Bait this deep because of the resistance. And the bigger bait profile.Plus hook size.

answer 3
The weight of the line and lure usually determine which type of rod weight is best for that lure. The lure weight will be listed for each rod.

When using a lure near a lot of weeds or wood, you want a heavier rod to pull the bass out of the cover.

Hope this helps!

I use a 7ft MH and that is what I reccomend MH is strong to support huge fish it gives you the best hookset and in these crankin sticks it still has a great soft tip that won't wear you out. If you are serious about crankin which is my best strength I would definately reccomend the 7ft MH.

In my opinion, it depends on how you are fishing that should tell you what rod to use. I use 6'6" M rod for top water and jerkbaits, a 7' M for shallow/medium cranks, and a 7'MH for deep cranks.
If you are looking for something comparable to the quantum, I would recommend a 7'M rod, if you like the longer rods like I do. Hope this helps you.

I have found great items online that they were out of in my store. I went in and they found it in another store way out of state and they had it shipped to my store for free they called me when it arrived and I picked it up and paid the price it was listed for online. So if Gunree close just do that.
