According to the Manufacture the inseam for the Shorts in all sizes remains the same at 7.5"

i bought size 38/30 and the shorts portion seems to be an 11" seam to me.

My inseam after multiple washings for a size 40w x 32L is about 8". Hope that helps.

The RedHead Canvas Zip-Off Pants for Men, the waist is listed in numbers not letters, so you would choose the 34 and there is some give in the waist. You must be looking at a different pair of pants.

in my search for good quality zip offs, I have never seen a true brown. Tan you will find quite often. Brown might be considered a fall-winter color and maybe that is why difficult to find in a zip-off. Sorry

I have found that most companies don't offer many color variations in cargo/hiking pants. Sad, but there it is. If enough of us ask for it, perhaps they will expand. I got the medium brown and like them very much. I see now they have a camo pattern too, which I guess could be considered a 4th color.
