NO it is only going to charge your battery if it is plugged into a 110 outlet.

Not unless you have an very long extension cord. This is an AC charger. It has to be plugged in to a 110 volt outlet.

No power...

I have the older version of this. Its about a year old. I plugged it in and it shows no power. I went and checked all connections, fuses, wire brush terminals etc...I took charger out of boat and plugged it in with out it hooked up to the batteries and now it has power. This is the second time it has happened to me. I am on my second charger....the same exact model charger...What would cause this!?!?

I had the same problem when I installed my new charger. Try cleaning the terminals on your batteries, and all the connections. That might work.

I have since plugged it in without it hooked up to the batteries and it worked! I connected it back up the batteries and the lights came on and was charging. For a bit...no it is showing no lights...

yes. my trolling batteries are wired for 24 volt and they as so simple to charge. my other two batteries are 12 volt and are charged with a twin unit.

Yes. You will use two banks one on each 12-volt battery and you will need a jumper for your 24-volt set up. Thanks

You will want a 3-bank charger. One for your engine and then one bank each for your two trolling motor batteries with a jumper to connect the two for a 24 V system.

Select a mounting location that allows for free air ventilation with a minimum of 8 inches of clear unobstructed space around and in front of the XPSiT On-Board Marine Battery Charger. Should be mounted with extruded fins placed horizontally.

Do not install charger on carpeted, upholstered, vinyl, or varnished areas. Be sure to place the XPSiT in an accessible area where all indicators are viewable. The rear surface of the unit is extremely HOT air flow behind the unit must not be obstructed in order to insure proper performance. Install this unit on a hard surface.

We have improved the battery for this year, which should help. Changing brands might not help with the longevity, since they are all about the same.
