Just a tow rope. We got one from Bass Pro for under $20 and it's been great.

answer 2
Does not need any kind of a harness - it has a well-built attachment clip. But, you should buy a decent tow rope designed for pulling a tube - they are different than ski ropes!

answer 4
you will need a tow rope, doesn't come with, even though some ads. say it does, must buy seperately, get a good one, this tube has allot of drag through the water and a cheap line won't last

I don't see why people are saying you need a harness. If you have a tow rope it will connect directly to the easy connect harness. Depending on your rope and your boat, you will need to connect it some how to your boat. On ours we had some D rings that connected directly to the ski eye connection on the boat.
