The boat hook end comes with the pole. Be sure that it is screwed on tight.

The plastic hook end came already attached to the pole when I purchased it in March 2010. I did not have to order it or make a specific designation separate from ordering the pole.

It comes with the pole. It is threaded so that you can change it out for other items such as a brush or a squeegy. If the hook breaks it can be replaced for a nominal fee.

When holding the outer shaft, twist the hook (inner shaft) counterclockwise to loosen it. Pull the inner shaft out to the desired extension length and twist it clockwise to lock it firmly in place.
