How do these attach to the boat

How do these attach to the boat and would they work for between boat contact? We routinly tie up with other pontoon boats - would this be sufficient protection between boats? Thank you.

Yes the Pontoon fender would work. The way it is attached by a strap that goes around the whole fence that will tighten it. Thanks
