Question

Does this round have the boat-tail design?

I am sighting in my new .223 Savage Varminter and I have used jacked hollow point at 200 yds and the round isn't giving me the grouping i want. I am hoping that tis cartridge can give me a tighter grouping out to 250-300 yds.

You need to buy at least 3 to 4 different types of ammo to try in you firearm when sighting it in. Even though 2 guns are the same make and model made on the same day each one will like a different ammo type and bullet weight.

Your in luck. Hornady makes a bullet perfect for high accuracy at long ranges and will shoot excellent through your Savage Rifle. What you want is the Hornady Superformance BTHP 75 grain.
BTHP stands for Boat Tail Hollow Point, a bullet designed for very long range accuracy, coupled with the heavier 75 grain weight you should find everything you need in this round.
