max distance on sabots is at 200m on the high end. That considered, spin you would induce on a 300win mag is necessary... since sabots are not copper on steel, the perfect exit trajectory is not possible to begin. The 1 in 35 is just enough twist to avoid tumbling, Places where shotguns are required and sabots are allowed typically don't have that much visibility therefore a 200m shot is unlikely. Sabots will stabilize at 300gr, which is plenty of punch and are accurate to 2-3in at 100m.

Don't waste the money using sabot rounds with this. At best it will be semi-accurate but you will also notice the the rounds are tumbling in the air and hitting sideways. Nice and simple rifled slugs performed 100% than sabot slugs in my experience. Only took me about $60 of sabot slugs and a sore shoulder to figure that out.

I'm assuming you're talking about a Model 500, Mossberg pump. Yes, as long as you get the choke that has the same thread pattern, i.e. Invector, Mossberg and Older Winchester pumps using the Winchoke system. All 3 use the same thread design.. Do not buy a Invector Plus design as it's intended for newer Brownings, Winchesters like the SXP, SUPER X, SX2s....Just check the manufacturers chart to be sure, or call customer service if in doubt, hoping that this helps....

It is a .730" fully rifled the length of the choke tube, so it's none of the above, it will enable you to get the last bit of accuracy with even saboted slugs lot cheaper than a new fully rifled shotgun barrel yet is enough to impart rotation in slugs and increase accuracy and range. Hope this helps..

the grooves are cyl, essentially the lans are only deep enough to create spin. this is for slugs with a nylon wad that stays with it till it exits the barrel: sabots...etc.

Winchester (1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, & Ranger) is interchanges with Carlson’s Winchester, Mossberg 500 Weatherby and Browning Invector style threads.

They do not list a Winchester 140 online: http://www.choketube.com/choke-tube-interchange-guide.php.

Thanks

It depends on the barrel. If you have a rifled barrel then the Sabot slug is the most accurate. If you have a smooth barrel, its best to try both to determine the tightest grouping.
